Refund Policy

My goal is to build the best voice dictation experience for macOS. If LumeVoice isn't speeding up your workflow, I want to make it right. Because LumeVoice incurs significant AI processing costs for every word transcribed, this policy is designed to be fair to you while protecting my ability to keep the app running sustainably.

1. Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all LumeVoice orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries regarding payments and handles returns and cancellations (only in accordance with this policy).

2. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee (Initial Purchases)

If you are not satisfied with LumeVoice, I offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first subscription charge (Monthly or Annual) and on Lifetime license purchases.

To qualify for this refund, you must meet the Fair Use criteria:

Because the Pro and Lifetime plans offer unlimited dictation, refunds are only granted if you have transcribed less than 10,000 words using your paid plan. Unusually high usage within the 14-day window that suggests the service was used primarily to extract bulk transcriptions and then refund will be denied.

3. Subscription Renewals

LumeVoice Pro Monthly and Annual plans are set to automatically renew. I do not offer refunds for automatic subscription renewals.

It is your responsibility to manage your subscription. You can cancel your subscription at any time via your Paddle billing portal or directly inside the LumeVoice app settings. Canceling prevents future charges, and you will retain access to your Pro features until the end of your current paid billing cycle.

4. Lifetime Licenses

The $249 Lifetime license is a one-time payment. It is fully covered by the 14-day, 10,000-word money-back guarantee mentioned in Section 2. After 14 days, Lifetime licenses are strictly non-refundable.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund within your 14-day window, please email me directly at hello@lumevoice.com with:

  • The email address associated with your LumeVoice account.
  • Your Paddle order receipt number.

If approved, I will coordinate with Paddle to process the return. Refunds are credited back to your original payment method and typically take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.
